Hong Kong Training Squad announced

A relatively young training squad has been selected with an eye to the future.

The Hong Kong National Team Selectors have announced the following training squad:

HKG Training Squad:

4. Ghulam Mustaffa
5. Indrajeet Singh Gill
6. Irfan Ahmed
7. Jamshaid Khan
8. Jawaid Iqbal
9. Mark Kratzmann
10. Nadeem Ahmed
11. Najeeb Amar
12. Niaz Ali
13. Nizakat Khan
14. Toby Brown
15. Shakeel Haq
16. Shkawat Ali
17. Waqas Barqat
18. Zafran Ali
19. Zain Abbas

National Coach Aftab Habib will be working with the HK Training Squad who face a busy International Calender in 2008. Their schedule includes a number of important tournaments such as the ACC Trophy 2008, ICC World Cricket League Division 4 and the Asia Cup.

Krish Kumar, HKCA Chairman of Selectors said "A relatively young training squad has been selected with an eye to the future. A couple of senior players have been named,as well, to impart stability.The objective is to rebuild a team in a phased manner"

The training squad will be reviewed from time to time by the selectors, as per the usual practice.
