Pakistani spinners step in to keep side in match
KOCHI, India, Feb 12 (AFP) - Pakistani spinners Nadeem Khan and Shahid
Afridi grabbed five quick wickets after tea to save the tourists from
embarrasment in their three-day match here on Friday.
The Indian board president's eleven, a promising 249-5 at tea,
collapsed to 282 to gain a slender 35-run first innings lead on the
second day.
Pakistan, who made 247-9 declared in their first innings, were 27 for
no loss in their second knock by stumps. Saeed Anwar was unbeaten on
10 while Afridi made 15.

Kumble takes all 10 wickets as India rout Pakistan
NEW DELHI, Feb 7 (AFP) - Leg-spinner Anil Kumble grabbed all 10
wickets in an innings as India crushed Pakistan by 212 runs in
the second Test here on Sunday to square the short two-match
series.
Kumble emulated Englishman Jim Laker's feat against Australia 43
years ago, finishing with 10-74 from 26.3 overs in a sensational
finish to Pakistan's first Test series on Indian soil in 12
years.
