In a cloudy day, a shoddy batting performance by host Bangladesh handed the West Indies A team a comfortable 7 wickets victory in the second limited over cricket match at northern Rajshahi stadium Monday.

With the win, the three-match series was now levelled at 1-1. The last day-night meet will be held Tuesday at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in the capital. The match will begin at 2 pm.

Like Rajshahi match, the final battle will take place in Dhaka amidst political unrest in the country as opposition has been enforcing a three-day countrywide general strike since 6 am Monday.

Chasing a paltry total of 147 runs, the Caribbean reached their victory target of 151 runs losing only 3 wickets in 40.5 overs. Floyd Reifer played a magnificent innings with an unbeaten 53 runs which featured four boundaries and a huge six.

Bangladesh skipper Aminul Islam Bulbul and his deputy Khaled Mahmud Sujon took one wicket each.

Earlier in the morning, sent in to bat first, Bangladesh were bundled out for only 147 runs in 44.1 overs.

Immediate past national skipper, Akram Khan, who played a vital 61-run innings in the first match Saturday to snatch a 2-wicket victory over the touring junior Calypsos, again was the most successful batsman in the host side contributing the team highest 49 with three hits across the rope.

Leg spinner Rawl Lewis and pacer Reon King were the most successful bowlers for the visiting team who captured three wickets each for 18 and 19 runs respectively. Another spinner Neil McGarrell took two wickets giving away 28 runs while Ramnaresh Sarwan grabbed one for 13 runs.
