ST

ST. JOHN'S, Antigua, Apr.2, WICB: A leg injury has forced Trinidad & Tobago captain Daren Ganga to withdraw from the three-day match between the Carib Beer XI and Australia at Everest in Guyana, starting on Saturday.

Ganga injured a leg during the Carib Beer International Challenge semi-final between Barbados and Trinidad & Tobago that ended on Tuesday at Kensington Oval.

The WICB has been informed that Ganga has been ordered to rest for 10 days by the Trinidad & Tobago team doctor.

Compatriot Imran Jan comes into the final 11 for Ganga and Sylvester Joseph, a former Young West Indies captain, will lead the side.

Former West Indies off-spin bowler Clyde Butts has been named manager/coach.

Australia face West Indies in four Tests and seven limited-overs internationals during the Cable & Wireless 2003 Cricket Series. For tickets, call 1-800-744-GAME (4263) from the Caribbean, or 1-268-481-2490 from international cities.
