Old Bridge, NJ Mayor Barbara Cannon will give the keynote address at the official awards dinner celebrating the US National Under 13 Cricketers on September 2, 2001. The awards dinner will be held at the Old Bridge (NJ) Civic Center.

Other speakers include BBC Television commentator, Sir Clive H. Lloyd CBE. Lloyd is also a former captain and manager of the West Indies Cricket team and COO of Major League Cricket Inc., whose President & CEO Bernard J Cameron will deliver an address on the educational and business development of cricket in the US.

Distinguished attendees include Dr. Daniel Rodriquez, Superintendent of the Board of Education, Kerin Desai, Planning Board Member - Middlesex County and Chairman of Old Bridge Zoning Board, along with Donna Ryan, Athletics Director for the Board of Education, Township of Old Bridge

Over 2,000 cricket fans from the metro area are expected to view the round robin competition sponsored by the US Cricket Academy in association with Major League Cricket Inc.

The USA Cricket Academy headed by Ashok Patel, and Major League Cricket, have formed a strategic partnership for the purpose of developing and promoting professional cricket throughout the US, beginning with the young grassroots of the sport. Both companies are based in New Jersey.
