Rohtak: November 1: Haryana thrashed Jammu & Kashmir by an innings
and 112 runs in the North Zone Cooch Behar cricket match at the
Vishwakarma stadium here on Monday.
The J & K second innings folded up for 86 within half an hour after
resumption of the final day's play. Ankit Khajuria was the only
batsman to reach double figures in the J & K innings. He scored
45 runs off 104 balls. For Haryana Sandeep Mor reaped a rich harvest
of wickets. The youngster who had captured seven wickets in the
first inninngs took five more in the second. Left arm spinner
Deepak Sain took two wickets for nine runs.
The occasion of Haryana Day was made memorable by the breed of young
cricketers who gained eight points. They now have 14 points
from three matches. J & K have yet to earn a point after playing
two matches this season.
