Leicestershire fought back well in the afternoon session and restricted
Kent
to 76 runs with the loss of 2 wickets in 34 overs during this passage of
play. They bowled with alot more discipline and did not give the Kent
batsman anything.
Dravid on 41 not out at lunch was dropped by Stevens at point shortly
after
the resumption which could prove costly for the home side. He was unable
to
play with the same fluency as in the morning session, but with some luck
and
determination he is still at the crease.
Billy Stelling, playing in his first Championship game for Leicestershire
broke the partnership between Smith and Dravid when he tempted Smith to
play
at a wide delivery outside his off stump which found an edge that went
through to second slip.
Since then, the run rate dropped to 2.4 runs per over leaving this game
evenly balanced.
