Pakistan v Sri Lanka 1999-2000

At Dhaka, June 5 (day/night)

15-Apr-2001
At Dhaka, June 5 (day/night). Pakistan won by seven wickets. Toss: Sri Lanka.
Pakistan rested three key players for this meaningless match - both sides, hitherto unbeaten, had already qualified for the final - and still won convincingly. Jayasuriya chose to bat in humid conditions, but was one of just three Sri Lankan batsmen to pass 20 as they conceded five run-outs in a sloppy display. Azhar Mahmood, making his comeback in this tournament after being laid up since February, claimed three top-order wickets for 24, including the prize scalp of Atapattu, who fell to a stunning but controversial catch by Imran Nazir at point. The third umpire decided it had carried. Yousuf Youhana extended his good run, steering Pakistan to victory with an un- beaten 90.
Man of the Match: Yousuf Youhana.
