Sussex are in talks with Mushtaq Ahmed to extend his contract with the county beyond the end of this season. Mushtaq has already taken 52 Championship wickets, and Chris Adams, Sussex's captain, said at the weekend that he was confident that a deal could be struck.
"If they really want me I would like to stay," Mushtaq said. "I don't like changing clubs, I prefer to stay with old friends and Sussex have made me and my family very welcome. Peter Moores and Chris Adams are great people. Even when you are not doing well they still treat you the same and try and encourage you."
