Tournament favorites Bahamas off to an impressive start

Bahamas won the toss, elected to field and quickly went to work against the Turks & Caicos batting. The first wicket fell before a run was on the board and the Bahamian bowlers kept the batsmen walking back to the pavilion throughout their brief innings. The opening bowlers showed some pace and when the ball was turned over to the two medium pace seamers , Mario Ford (3/20) and Venris Bennett (4/29) the Turks and Caicos batsmen were never able to get on top and were bowled out in the 26th over for 88 runs. The only batsman to show some grit was Everett Warrican who scored 23.

The Bahamian batsman made light work of their target passing the required score in the 17th over for the loss of only two wickets. Howard Roye with 25 was top score.

Venris Bennett ( Bahamas) with bowling figures of 8-2-29-4 was named Man of the Match.
